The H&M Studio AW14 Show was a highlight for me. Most people on the streets were not really sure where it was as it was not the official schedule, however the buzz was high on instagram and twitter leading to the show and of course during the show.
It was at 9:30 in the evening, so not best for street style but amazing for the grandeur and the after party! The venue was Grand Palais and its lives up to its name.
See below some backstage shots.
For the show, the historical Grand Palais was transformed into an abstract cityscape, with graphic architectural lines and billboards punctuating the space
H&M Studio is the new name for H&M’s key seasonal fashion collection. With its own dedicated design team, each season H&M Studio will offer a limited-edition collection of the hottest looks and statement pieces.
The mood of the collection was dominated by a mix of feminine with masculine, with slip dresses and draped tops worn under men’s blazers, biker and aviator jackets. Fabrics included silk crepe, silk satin, fine cashmere and velvet. Fake fur coats added texture with detailing from sequin and stone embroidery.
The collection will be available in around 250 stores worldwide, as well as online, from September 4, 2014.

The next day I attended the showroom for some detail shots, and the silhouettes are beautiful. Watch this space for an update on that!
Hope you enjoyed watching the show!
