It’s the season when the new exhibits pop up,the plays and musicals seem more available as people rather be out making the most of the daylight, The books you have been waiting for gets released, and finally the wait for Great Gatsby is over!

I have had the joy of seeing great exhibits starting with David Bowie,to Musicals like Once (I know!! The best birthday present ever! Only Once fans will understand that emotion.)

So it was just natural for me to say Yes,when I was Invited for the English National Opera’s latest production :The Perfect American.

I must be honest,I lived in Sydney and never actually managed to go to the Opera,so when I was invited for an Opera in London,I was well excited, and that too an ENO commission to celebrate the renowned composer of The Perfect American, Philip Glass’s 75th birthday.

Based on the novel by Stephan Jungk and written by Philip Glass, who is one of the most influential music makers of the late 20th century,The Perfect American imagines the final months of Walt Disney’s life, including mythical imaginings of Abraham Lincoln and Andy Warhol. One can only imagine the concoction of those two!

Glass describes himself a “Classicist” with a certain repeat structure in music, well I am no critic of Music, since I never studied it and have the worst hand-eye-ear co-ordination so physically incapable of playing any instrument but I am totally preparing myself for my first ever London Opera by listening to Glass’s music here.

Now the big question! What do I wear? So According to the Opera Etiquettes here, I don’t have a dress code, which is a relief, but One should never be underdessed…EVER!

So I decided to go unconventional with a Digital Printed dress and Summery Makeup! P.s: Loving the Nars Satin Lip Pencil currently, If you haven’t tried it, get your hands on it ASAP!

Rentez-Vous was founded in 2012 by Fiona Designi, with a novel idea of renting out your wardrobe. The idea is simple, as we all MUST acknowledge we all have loads of clothes in the back of our wardrobe which we sometimes forget about(Cheeky me) or just one those “I don’t know when I will wear that dress” dresses! The idea is to recycle these clothes, and get some money out of the money you spent on it initially by renting out your clothes for 2-3 weeks! Something like renting out your couch for a period of time. None of us mind a bit of extra ch-ching!

So, this was a one of a kind event, held for the very first time in London. To mark the launch of the website, Rentez-Vous partnered with LDN Bloggers to get a hand selected-invite-only Bloggers in with 5 pieces of their clothing, equipped with a functional Paypal account and a willingness to style themselves in other’s pieces!

The result was spectacular afternoon with clothes being swapped and cameras clicking away!

Any-who, my friend Chloé, founder of chloedigital.com and I are such geeks, that we decided to fuse her undying love for tech codes and my street style images into this little widget! Of course this would have not happened had Fiona not randomly mentioned it over a glass of vino! Birds of the same feather you see!

It tells you what Blogger rented who’s clothes, how very clever? Even if I have to say it myself!

Thus, it was no surprise when I found out that the amazing Adrien Sauvage did an exclusive shoot with Justin O’Shea wearing sartorial pieces from A.Sauvage’s Classic collection.A secret bird tells me Justin and Sauvage spent time hand selecting the pieces shown below on Justin.

Clicked in Mayfair, London, The pictures are powerful and sauve. Credit goes to both the men!

Justin joins the likes of Jude Law,Spike Jonze, Craig Roberts and many more who have been photographed by Sauvage.

Sauvage, is multi faceted talent bag! London based Fashion Designer,Photographer and Director, is the man behind This Is Not a Suit and talks about the Art of  D.E (Dress Easy) in a video which he directed in 2011.( Video at the bottom of the page)

Wordpress.com just sent me my 2nd birthday card, and it made me squeal like a teenage girl (not very different from my usual squeal!) I remember when I started TB, I was always out and about capturing images, cribbing how big the camera was and that I will never carry it again, and the day when it wasnt with me, I was cribbing why the camera is not with me!

My regular readers must know ,that it was Scott Schuman’s website The Sartorialist is what inspired me to start Trendbridged.com, and I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting him last year at Fashion Week.

In the 5 minute conversation (First 2 went in me finding my voice to say Hello!!) he said things which made me want to do more with Trendbridged.com. He shared tips to click better images, what he looks out for in a shot, what lens he uses, that Garance was joining him after her Lunch before they head into a show, and how to KEEP ON clicking pictures to get better pictures!

That was the day I wanted to do so much more with TB!

Well this LFW I saw Scott walk past us (I was chatting with Yvan Rodic and The Sophie Lear of  Face Hunter and The littlest things) and I could not resist clicking him in action, only curious to see what the final image would look like. So here it is guys!

It’s an upcoming label and has already created a buzz around with its eclectic African Inspired prints individually sourced, each telling its story.

It is a great change from the existing sartorial scene and gives a new twist to the Modern Gentleman’s wardrobe.Of course, you need to be open to work with prints in your wardrobe..New Year Resolution Number 31 perhaps?
