What to wear to bed…on Christmas eve?

So this is the night, when you have all your loved ones next to you..and most of us have been preparing for the next 2-3 days for the last few weeks..if not months! I have been busy making handmade soaps, Chai Latte Tea Syrups and wrapping my presents with sticky fingers! The inspiration of this post came, when my friend who is visiting me from Atlanta in the US, wanted to look for cozy pyjamas to wear on Christmas eve, as he is spending it with his friend and her parents in Brussels,Belgium! We went to a few places, and I knew I had to write a post on “What to wear to Bed…to wake up looking Christmassy!!”

I partnered with New Look, and here are some of my best Christmas Eve looks to wear to bed…something different from the party looks you would have thought! I stuck to a red and white theme, and threw in a few chunky bobble hats just in case you have a white Christmas, unlike us lot in London who are heading towards a windy and wet Christmas day.

Christmas Gift Ideas: Homemade Chai Latte Recipe!

The more time I spend away from home, the more I miss the importance of the few yet very important people in my life! Especially during Christmas!

My best friend, Alia and I used to have long catch up sessions over Chai, sitting on my balcony swing, enjoying whatever weather we had in my home town.We have always lived in different cities (if not countries) so it was taken for granted we had more than one topic to catch up on!I think Chai does that to you..connects you on another level!

This Christmas, I decided to do all DIY Christmas pressies! My friends in London have asked me more than once to make them Chai Latte, and so some of you guys are getting my very own Homemade Chai Latte Syrup!

Easy to make, you can bottle them up and attach a DIY label (Country Chic Cottage has beautiful Vintage Labels) to add your personal touch! Buy your Bottles here or more options here.

Make sure you bring it out while opening your pressies and enjoy your cuppa with loved ones!

Meanwhile, Ali, I owe you a bottle! This post is inspired by our Chai sessions! x

2 cups water
4 regular tea bags
5 x 1 inch piece ginger
7 cardamon pods
7 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 Vanilla Stick (I put my Vanilla Stick in my Sugar Jar, But you can use Vanilla Sugar too)
1/5 cup raw sugar (or less in case you don’t like sweet Chai..You can always add later!)
2 1/2 cups Milk (Soy/Almond milk works great too)
2 Cups water

Optional Ingredients:

3 Whole Peppercorns
1/2 Teaspoon of All Spice or 1/3 Teaspoon of Nutmeg

Combine water, tea bags and all the spices and bring to boil. Let it simmer for 5-8 minutes on medium heat, till you can see the water converting into Syrup.

Remember more the sugar, more syrupy the mixture. Worry not if it is watery after the 8 minutes boil, as consistency has nothing to do with the flavor.

After a good boil, let the tea cool, and strain into a bottle. Remember to give your tea bags a squeeze as it would have retained all the spicy juices.

Christmas DIY Presents Chai Latte

I have a Lavazza Espresso Coffee Machine, so I just Steamed some milk to make it Frothy. If you do not have a a steamer, then you can shake the milk in a jar and microwave it to make it frothy. See more here.

Add 2-3 Tablespoon full of Syrup in your Mug, and whilst tilting your mug, pour the foamy milk. Be Sure to sprinkle some Cinnamon on top to give that yummy winter flavor.

Dolce and Gabbana Bronzer: New addition to Make up bag

I can’t believe I am making my Christmas already! 5 weeks to Christmas and 6 to a new year!

Who else thinks this year has just flown by? More on that over coffee and skype:)

I have been using this Dolce and Gabbana Bronzer for a few weeks, and I must saw it has been one of the most beautiful and silky bronzer in my make up bag for a very long time!

The texture is soft, the brush just picks up the right amount of shimmer and powder to sweep across your cheeks.

I have been using it as an eyeshadow for a quick “pep-me-up” after work look, and it just brightens your eyes to take away all that staring at computer screen look off your face.

This will be my go-to blusher this Party season, when I just want one neat, beautifully packaged bronzer in my bag, which duals up as shimmer eyeshadow, and highlights your contours the right way.

A very EASY Christmas gift, and it will be appreciated across ages, so if you looking for a luxury gift for your Mum or your girlfriend, click here to get shopping!
