As you can see all my last few posts have been quick one liner of the street style images of London Collections, held from 6th-9th January 2013 at the Hospital Club, Covent Garden.
I came across Sibling for the first time at the London Fashion Week few seasons ago, and loved their distinct chunky knits in vibrant colours with textures which just explodes in front of you and you are trying to figure out in your head..it is so them..yet so different!
I loved what Santi Rodriguez was wearing, the bright red Lion face jumper with a neutral coat.It was cozy, urban and colourful to just cheer all of us waiting outside for a splash of colour, and the splash of colour we got! for a grey day like today this jumper was the perfect conversation starter! We even had a few men on bikes to stop and ask..”Why are you being clicked?” This is exactly why I love London!
Anyway Sibling had their show late today at 7:00 p.m. and with their chunky Snoods and oversized Cabled Gloves, I can safely say they did it again! Worked their Sibling charm!
Love the multi pattern jumper, perfect Christmas Jumper for me!The emphasise on oversized accessories can not be missed, starting from the scarves, the gloves and the nice chunky Beanie!
The first time I spotted Justin O’Shea was in the Sartorialist back in February 2011. I had just moved to London and had started Trendbridged.com then, and all I was hoping to do was spot Justin O’Shea casually walking around Covent Garden and click some great candid shots of him!!
Justin O’Shea was born and raised in a small Aussie Aboriginal town and upon moving to London, found his true calling! Being the worldwide Buying Director for Mytheresa.com, you can spot him globe-trotting during the Fashion Week season.
He is the perfect Biker-does-Saville-Row style, with his well-tailored (often if not) 3- piece suits, teamed with a printed shirt, showing a snippet of his ink playing a peek a boo! I love how he can team up the the vest and jacket from one set with trousers of another.I am usually never fond of half sleeves shirt on men, (My rule being If Hot,Suck it up or Roll it up),but he does the quarter sleeve just right (Of course being fit has a huge role to play!)
P.s: Special attention to the metal capped burgundy boots (Also featured in the video below).
Anyway, Thus presenting Justin O’Shea:
If this is not enough to woo you, I found this video by BeefEater with the #MyLondon campaign. It shows snippets of London, just the way it is..Beautiful!
Click LIKE if you find his style inspirational!
I found this great post on how to roll up your Dress shirt: Click here
I know, I know, My English teacher from High School, Mrs. Vij would have told me never to write a blog if I wrote this as an article title, but as much as it is an Oxymoron, it is true!
Vintage could be 1980′s Grunge Vintage, or a 1920′s Bias Dress, or a 1950′s Jacket, Vintage is Vintage, and believe it or not soon there will be 2000′s vintage collection!
Well, one woman who is an epitome of pure retro beauty is no one else, than the new-age Pin Up girl, Dita Von Teese.I must admit , her choice of names for her Pseudonym, is as much of a teaser as she herself is.This woman oozes out sensuality and elegance, both at the same time, and there are only few women out there who can do that! The lingerie, makeup and accessories, just completes her look.
What I love about writing a Fashion Blog is, That it just exposes one to so many friendly people out there, (well sometimes I do get walked over too, such is life!!).So I met this great Norwegian girl today at Neal’s yard, in Covent Garden (quirky little area, tucked in between high streets), who was genuinely interested in the blog, and was just so warm and excited, it gave me immense joy and kept me smiling for a long while after that! A traveller herself, she has been places from New York to Switzerland and now here.
Here she is carrying her retro look perfectly.(I sure hope your evening was as great as both of us hoped it to be )
So I know, you said you would check the blog, if you do read this, I would love to hear from you again!
The vibrance of scarf being held by the little Scarf pin, and the excellent choice in the shape of the glasses!Bravo!
