Sofia Sanchez Barrenchea has been popping up my radar through various researches. She is a New York based Argentinian Creative Director and Graphic designer for various brands.
I actually spotted her through my research for unique local designers and came across this brilliant website called UnderOurSky. A website promoting Argentinian Designers. Upon researching I came across, the website is owned by three sisters, Sofia,Lucia and Catalina. All of them based in 3 different cities: New York, Paris and Buenos Aires.Lucia, a CSM graduate has interned worked with Balenciaga,Isabel Marant, and many more so Fashion is running in the core of this sister trio.
Sofia Sanchez works on ensuring the designers from her home country reaches beyond geographical boundaries (something I always work with on trendbridged.com) thus UnderOurSky.com was born.
Her style is not run of the mill, and actually quite hard to nail, but I know she chooses comfort over style most of the time (I like) and wears no to minimal makeup most days unless meeting someone. (With that natural dewy skin, I would never wear makeup! Click here for Dewy Makeup Tutorial). Special attention to the well-defined brows.
You can see influences of eclectic and patterns with rugged leather jacket and statement shoes which is quite out there and on the other side, there is a classic monochrome look in a white shirt and black cape.
I hope most of you are familiar with this Russian Beauty Ulyana Sergeenko by now, if not…Sigh….what can I say to you lot!Beter read on to catch up!
This damsel is not just a pretty face, she is the designer behind the eponymous label Ulyana Sergeenko, a photographer, a blogger and stylist, she is a woman who has her delicate hands in every pie…and every pie tastes as beautiful as the first one.
Of course one would think, being the wife of a Russian Insurance Mogul, makes things so much easier, but you can’t take the credit away from Ulyana at any point of time. Her Fall 2012 show was scheduled smack in the middle of Chanel and Armani Privé show and attracted all the top editors and celebrity in the front row, ultimately resulting in a standing ovation for this neophyte designer. Her presence in the Fashion Couture world was established right there.
Her style is very vintage late 40′s-early 50′s, with the floral bouquet print, the babushka-type headscarves, the pin-up girl demure figure complemented with full skirts and cashmere sweaters teamed with the most perfectly crafted Cloche hats. I honestly can’t seem to get enough of her. The porcelain skin complimenting the red pout and quintessential 50′s cat eye is an inspiration for many around the world. If only we could dress like that everyday and still look different!

The finale of the “Pardon My French” series is a visual diary/montage of Paris Fashion Week and an insight into the world through Garance’s eyes (or lens)! It cracked me up and made me love her even more.
Covering bits and bobs of her borrowing clothes from her sartorial partner Scott (Schuman), to running for the short Louis Vuitton Show to dancing in the rain and traces of the after party, this last episode is a great way to wrap up the season.
P.s: My Monday Muse makes a quick appearance in this video, any guesses?? To be continued…
Since the most trending topic on my twitter feed is #PFW, I can’t stop thinking of all things Parisienne..which includes my holiday from last year.
Taking a different turn on my Monday Muse from Editors and street style fashionistas, I have decided to feature fellow blogger (Our Blogger Community is real strong, as you must have guessed by now) Haleigh Walsworth, an American based out of my fav city in the world PARIS.
Haleigh shares her views on her blog Making Magiquewriting about her travel-escapedes, Chez elle (her priced possessions), and her fashion tastes!
It is genuine blog with a feel good factor in every post, a blog where you can connect to her even without meeting her, and that for me is addictive. Haleigh also owns an online store called REBELLE which has an excellent (and quirky just like her) taste of accessories, clothes and ickle finds! I love when bloggers curate their own store, it shows their style so much more!
I love her culmination of French Romance teamed with the American dreaminess in her pictures and videos, her style is effortless and comfortable and I especially wanted to highlight that!
p.s: Couldn’t help but include images of the Macarons..Love everything about our favourite Ladurée.
You have to watch this film by this talented blogger/filmmaker on behalf of Cant Forget Italy:

Special Attention to the Wolly Socks and the Pom Pom Hot Water Bottle to keep me warm!
I write in utter bliss, after having a great meal in a small restaurant called La Villa Toussaint, in Angers, France.
Sitting in my Pyjamas with Mr. Steve Jobs staring at me (My holiday read is his biography, Bless his soul!), and an open fire, with the occasional sound of the flicker adding to the beat of the Charles Mingus playing in the background…You get the picture right?
A day after Christmas, and I can’t stop reading my new Christmas Gift, “My Little Paris”, a little pile of secrets of things to do in Paris, and fall in love with the ever beautiful city even more. I can surely say J’adore Paris.
It is pretty self-explanatory, it is a Panty in a Post! You sign up in advance, and you get a surprise every month! How simple, and sheer exciting. My one stop to feel good! The idle situation is if the postman is good-looking himself! “How you doing?”
Well that is from me in France, hope you guys have a great New year, I shall take my leave so that I can write myself a letter to myself in the future!
P.s: Just had my 5000th hit! What a year!(It’s a modest end!)
I am in stunned how this year has passed by so quick!
A year ago I was packing boxes, numbering my suitcases, saying teary goodbyes, and going to the beach again and again in Sydney,Australia, only to move to another great place here in the United Kingdom!!
It has been full of expectations, dreams, frustrations, compromises, and most of all adaptation! But all in all a great year!
I strongly believe if you really like something, it will like you back and that has been my equations with this amazing new move!
Some of you must know I am travelling to France at the end of the year (which is 3 days away..woohooo!!) for 10 days, and unlike most of the holidays I have taken, this is really relaxed, with actually no agenda, and no places to go and visit (except for the ones which HAVE to be visited).
But what I plan to do is going to unusual places, it could be boutiques, cafes, restaurants, concept stores, gardens, buildings!
My research is on, and I have also made a board on pinterestwhich shows of Things I like already, and would like to do in my end of the year. It is an open board, so you can contribute as much as you want!
I hope to post a little more before Christmas (from Angers, in France), but till then you guys tuck in and enjoy the snow!
